We Love Nashville!

At Elite Insurance Solutions, we serve all of Tennessee, including one of the best cities in the world, Nashville. This capital city has quickly become one of the largest cities in the country because it is such a great place to live. Situated in a central location, Nashvillians enjoy a low cost of living, scenic outdoor sites, friendly hospitality, and many fun-filled attractions. It is no wonder so many people are moving here to make Nashville their home. We would like to tell you about some of our favorite places on USA Today’s Top Ten Attractions list to go in Nashville so that you can see why we love this city so much.

Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art

A privately-owned estate on 55 acres on the western edge of Nashville, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art was opened to the public in 1960. The former home of the prominent Cheek family, the 30,000 square foot Georgian mansion houses an impressive collection of art, including paintings, drawings, and porcelain objects. Surrounding the mansion are the gardens, which feature flowering trees, annuals, and shrubs. Visitors can enjoy featured exhibits and installations, water features, and floral displays. Every week, Cheekwood offers explorative activities for children, making this attraction fun for the entire family.

The Parthenon in Centennial Park

Did you know Nashville is called the “Athens of the South?” This name comes from the numerous colleges and universities in the city as well as from this tribute to classical Greek architecture. This replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece houses a museum that features art from 19th- and 20th-century American artists alongside Athenian sculptures which were created from direct casts of originals of ancient Greek works. Located within Centennial Park, the Parthenon is a great spot for a picnic on a sunny day.

The Ryman Auditorium

One of the most famous music venues in the country, this National Historic Landmark was built in 1892 by Captain Tom Ryman as the Union Gospel Tabernacle. Best known as the former home of the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium continues to host concerts of every musical genre today in its 2,362-seat room. During the months of November through February each year, country music fans can enjoy performances of the Grand Ole Opry here. Not only does this historic building host musical events, but it is also open daily for both guided and self-guided tours. Highlights from these tours include a photo of yourself on the Ryman stage, a timeline of events, a recording studio, and the Hatch Show Print Gallery, an autographed collection of iconic letterprint posters of artists from Aretha Franklin to the Zac Brown Band.

Make Sure You Are Properly Insured for Summer Fun

The summer months are filled with fun activities with friends and family enjoying the warmer weather. Whether you are planning on taking a road trip or simply relaxing outside by the swimming pool, having the best insurance coverage can give you the peace of mind to truly appreciate the summer season. Elite Insurance would like to tell you more about what you need to be properly insured for all of your summer activities by sharing with you some information from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

Having a swimming pool on your property greatly increases your insurance risk because you have a bigger chance of being sued or having to pay for someone’s medical expenses. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, approximately 400 children under the age of 15 drown every year in a swimming pool. This startling statistic is why regular homeowner’s insurance may not provide enough coverage for a pool and why some home insurance policies even exclude pools. If you own a home with a swimming pool, Elite Insurance Solutions can boost your liability coverage with an umbrella policy that will extend this type of coverage beyond what you have on other policies. We also strongly recommend that you review all of the local codes and standards before you install a swimming pool in your backyard to be sure you are following all of the safety requirements, such as fences and locks.

Before taking your boat out this summer, you need to be sure you have the right boating insurance policy. You will need liability coverage to cover any injuries that occur on your boat as well as property damage to your boat. Your personal property coverage of your homeowner’s insurance policy may cover a small boat for $1,500 or less in physical damage, but your liability coverage is limited. If you have a jet ski or other personal watercraft, you will most likely need a separate policy to cover it. Our agents at Elite Insurance Solutions can find an insurer that specializes in boating insurance.

Typically, your homeowner’s insurance policy will protect you when you travel. If you have off-premises’ coverage, your personal belongings are covered anywhere in the world. If you are staying in a hotel and your belongings are stolen, the exact coverage will depend on your policy. Certain high-priced items like jewelry and fur will have limited coverage, so if you are traveling with these types of belongings, you may want to look into an additional policy to cover these things.
